Digital Designer, Digital Department

As a Digital Designer, you’ll work collaboratively within the Digital Department alongside strategists, UI/UX designers, and developers to create work ranging from websites to social media content to emails and presentations. Projects range from start-to-finish conceptualization of designs and experiences to executing within existing brands and concepts. This position is located at our Syracuse, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Visual design projects such as user interface (UI) for responsive web and web aps, typography, infographics, illustrations, storyboarding, motion, branding, presentations sales tools, emails, social posts, display ads and/or similar deliverables.

  • Experience with production design work including sourcing imagery, cutting/slicing assets, editing and retouching photos, assembling and combining images, etc.

  • Working with cross functional teams through the agency which include, account managers, writers, media specialists, video editors and developers.

Ideal Experience

  • 2+ years of graphic design experience (we can't wait to see your portfolio!)
  • Bachelor's Degree or certificates in graphic design, art, advertising, marketing or a related field
  • Ad agency experience is preferred but not required

Ideal Skills/Qualifications

  • Skills within visual design across a variety of digital channels including, UI, iconography, hand/digital illustration, storyboarding, motion, branding, ecomm, .com. mobile, responsive web, typography, and/or similar deliverables.
  • Proficient with standard and specialized design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Principal, Invision, PowerPoint, and/or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with best practices and current trends across design and customer-centric communications, user-centered experience design, and digital design.
  • You possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively... but you aren't afraid to ask questions or receive feedback.
  • You are flexible, nimble, and able to adjust to constantly shifting needs and priorities. Above all, you bring joy and passion to your work and to the team around you.
  • You are passionate about the creative world and love to stay on top of the latest design trends, strategies, and technologies as well as how competitors within the industry are doing things.
