Essential Functions and Job Skills/Requirements:

• General knowledge of day-to-day dismantlement/demolition operations and knowledge of hand & power tool usage
• Perform service on equipment trailers, skid loaders, track, and excavation equipment
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
• Preform basic preventative service maintenance
• Ensure equipment is clean, properly maintained and in good working order
• Provide updates, recommendations and regular communication to office personnel
• Follow safety rules and regulations, assist Shop Crew to meet daily goals
• Minimum of 5-10 years of shop, mechanic or fleet experience
• Must be able to operate and repair a variety of power-driven equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance work
• Schedule future maintenance
• Keep computer logs of work and issues with vehicles/equipment
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working condition
• Maintain a clean organized work area, complete work orders and detailed daily reports
• Maintain inventory of parts for repairs and supplies for crews
• Willingness to learn new procedures or tasks

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed)
• Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties
• Must be able to work in summer and winter climates
• Valid drivers license and clean MVR
• Clean background

Position is for immediate hire and is for full time employment only. No part time work is available. Candidate must be reliable, prompt and must be able to follow and carry out instructions accurately. Candidates must be able to fill out daily reports completely and ensure that they are submitted in a timely manner. Candidates will report to work in Moyock NC and will remain there throughout the course of the day.
