*This position is on the Home Office IT team located Remote, Anywhere US*

Position Purpose:

Performs highly complex (journey-level) DevOps work. A DevOps Engineer II is an IT generalist with wide-ranging knowledge of development and operations including coding (scripting), infrastructure management, system administration, and applicable toolchains. Work with development and system administration teams to introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline the SDLC. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Streamlines the software development lifecycle by identifying pain points and productivity barriers and determining ways to resolve them.
  • Collaborates closely with development teams to understand their current build and release processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders, including development, operations, quality assurance and security, to streamline processes.
  • Provides guidance to development teams to improve performance and operability of the solutions they develop.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • Additional experience working in a distributed network environment or other related areas may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree on a year per year basis. (Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.)

Certification

  • Relevant industry or vendor certifications (e.g. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Docker Certified Associate (DCA), Puppet Certified Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Terraform Associate), preferred

Experience

  • Three (3) years working in a distributed network environment
  • Three (3) years working in IT system and network administration
  • Three (3) years working in a team environment
  • Three (3) years working with programming/scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash
  • Two (2) years building Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery or Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Two (2) years working with API integrations
