Our Desktop Support Engineers are support a wide range of end-user needs including the maintenance of company desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other office equipment and related software. We participate in the implementation and upgrade of new hardware and software installations and configurations on both Mac and Windows.
We use advanced troubleshooting skills, install printers, network devices, peripherals and OS upgrades while assisting to maintain inventory of network devices, laptops, desktops and other company-issued hardware.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve issues associated with standard end-user hardware and software
- Provide cross platform Mac and Windows operating system configuration and application support
- Maintain inventory of hardware, software and licenses
- Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in/first-out priority.
- Process all incoming and outgoing employee requests, including new hire setup and terminated employee breakdown
- Assist team members with basic troubleshooting tasks
- Research to resolve issues, preparing and providing documentation to support solutions
- Escalate issues that require further research or more detailed analysis to senior managers as appropriate
- Provide administrative support including moving of workstations
- Backup senior desktop support engineer as needed
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Information Systems work (or relevant internship) experience providing technical assistance and Help Desk services.
- Knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows Operating systems (all versions)
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with understanding of desktop and network issues using a common-sense approach
- Thorough experience configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting desktop and laptops computers, servers, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices
- Knowledge and understanding of standard network security protocols and practices
- Knowledge of publishing applications such as Adobe Suite
- Familiarity with Mac and PC system backup and recovery systems as plus
Compensation + Benefits
Rate: $20/hr (Non-Exempt)
The actual pay rate offered will depend on a variety of factors, including applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience and geographic location. Total compensation package will also include other elements, including paid time off, subsidized health insurance (medical, dental, vision) and 401(k) participation plus company match.
