Dental Clinic Manager: Siskiyou Community Health Center (SCHC) has a full-time opportunity for a Dental Clinic Manager. The Clinic Manager provides day to day front and back office supervision, managing staff and performing duties necessary to ensure efficient clinic operations. You will work with staff, providers and other team members to uphold the highest standard of quality care and service to patients. This position manages both Dental Clinic’s in Grants Pass, OR and Cave Junction, OR.

Description

• Hires, trains and supervises staff while helping them develop performance goals and objectives in regards to SCHC policies and procedures.
• Manages employee(s) performance.
• Monitors appointments, patient flow, medical records and the electronic health record system as it pertains to the Dental Clinic.
• Audits patient registration information for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinates with billing staff to ensure that encounter forms for every patient seen that day are completed.
• Provides information to patients regarding clinic fee schedules and expectations of payment, advising patients of clinic policies and answering questions as appropriate.
• Ensure the Sliding Discount Program applications are processed and have the proper documentation in a timely manner.
• Monitors compliance with regulations and clinic standards of quality patient care.
• Develop workflow processes to improve efficiency.
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality.
• Manager will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance and scheduling of repairs for all dental equipment.
• Provide direction and coordination in the administration of current and long range policies, procedures and programs.
• Establish schedules and task assignments.
• Ensure compliance with SCHC policies and procedures.
• Liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate clinic/practice business, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolution of problems.
• Coordinates with Human Resources on personnel functions including, but not limited to: hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an office environment required, with prior experience in a dental office highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 years prior supervisory experience required.
• Driver’s license to commute between Grants Pass and Cave Junction Dental Clinics.
• Proven knowledge of organizational policies and procedures implementation.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Oregon Health Plan, private health insurance, managed care and funding sources.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other Federal and State policies/regulations regarding medical records, medical terminology, drug dosage information, disease process and medical abbreviations.
