Basic Function
Manage day-to-day operations of the DC. Perform troubleshoot of inventory reconciliation; monitor inventory levels to manage expenses, minimize loss, and maximize revenue. Manage the distribution center and/or warehouse ensuring the receipt, co-ordination and safety of goods coming through the distribution center properly. Ensure that orders arrive and are shipped on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. To perform this job successful, an individual shall be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The qualified candidate is required to perform a variety of complicated tasks. A degree
of creativity and latitude is required. Leads and directs the work of others. Some travel within North America is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Monitor all major DC activities; ensure all progresses are meeting the Company’s overall operational plans; evaluate plans for and provision of warehouse support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and develop alternatives when required.
2. Manage and report KPIs; to provide plans as needed to support continuous improvements.
3. Oversee daily distribution center / warehouse operations; supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials; confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities.
4. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate actions required to support the distribution center operations of the Company; identify all activities that will be involved in providing needed warehouse support.
5. Monitor receipt and pickup of products and materials as well as inventory levels to manage expenses, minimize loss, and maximize revenue; perform troubleshoot of inventory reconciliation whenever necessary.
6. Implement a sound inventory program that will ensure the effectiveness inventory control in order to meet expected accuracy levels of 100%
7. Review product / inventory movements, inbound shipments, and customers’ orders to prepare adequate staffing and issue work assignments.
8. Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and concerns regarding storage and shipment functions.
9. Identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems in the distribution center; correlate all requirements with relevant parties to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place.
10. Inspect and maintain efficient operating conditions of warehouse and equipment to include maintenance, repairs, and/or replacements as needed.
11. Assist in the development and enforcement of standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
12. Develop and enforce standard warehouse safety and security procedures, programs, and activities, promote high level of safety awareness among the warehouse team through continual interaction, communication, education and training of safe work practices.
13. Insure that the Operation is opened at the start of business and secured at the end of each business day.
14. Develop and implement a two week new hire training program to ensure new employees are trained on the fundamentals or the operations or required position.
15. Implement continues training evaluation to ensure all employees are fully trained to the job expectations and are given the opportunity to excel within the company.
16. Develop capacity KPIs to monitor and identify potential space constrains to minimize or eliminate external storage cost.
17. Quarterly evaluation to third party resource companies to control labor cost and identify potential personnel concerns.
18. Weekly labor cost review to ensure hours worked meet required labor plan.
19. Provide annual and semi-annual reviews on performance and achievements for all team members.
20. Generate Purchase Orders for Maintenance, Repairs, and Operational supplies (MROs)
21. Perform other related duties as assigned.

This position requires a B.S. or B.A. degree in business management, industrial management, in area specializing in distribution, supply chain management, logistics or related area (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Knowledge of inventory management / transportation software / system, Warehouse Management System (WMS), etc.
Experience
At least three to five years of experience in the distribution center and/or warehouse operation. Multiple site management experience is preferred. Prior experience in distribution center management is preferred, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
