Data Entry Clerk Job at Prosthetic & Orthotic Facility
Excellent full-time (9-5) entry-level position in a busy prosthetics & orthotics facility in East Setauket.
Seeking organized and resourceful individuals looking for long-term employment who can thrive in a fast pace office environment.
Requirements for prospective employees:
- Proficient with computers (must be able to quickly learn how to use new software)
- Confident and comfortable on the phone
- Ability to adapt to the constantly changing medical field
- Can handle a fast-paced office environment
- Organizational & multi-tasking skills
- Self-starter
- Experience working in an office environment
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks
- DME experience is a plus.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Entering/scanning patient information into computer, data entry
- Contacting doctors and other medical professionals to get necessary paperwork and patient information
- Generating orders for new patients
- Assisting the receptionist in answering phones and setting up practitioners to see patients
- Running reports
- Directing the flow of patient charts
- Determine proper ICD-10 codes using various resources
