Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Summary

You will be supporting a wide range of spare parts demand profiles across the fleet, from lumpy/sporadic to consistent/smooth, presenting a significant challenge in forecasting. You will drive improvements to our parts forecasting processes as you see in the requirements below. This is an opportunity to work with a team that is passionate about innovation!

Job Requirements:

  • Become an authority in the enterprise planning system's forecasting algorithms / features / override capabilities
  • Assist in the development of tool sets to measure forecast accuracy, pilot with our planning team to determine forecast accuracy thresholds that require planner investigation
  • Demonstrate the toolsets as well as ad hoc analytics to identify common threads where forecasting accuracy needs improvements
  • Based on the findings, partner with the planning system integration team to refine the system forecast algorithm as needed
  • Perform survival analysis on data (Kaplan-Meier and/or similar methods), identify customers/products/etc that behave differently as to be partitioned in forecast analysis
  • Partner with planning and forecasting SMEs to build forecast models based on part survival findings
  • Consult with the part planner / engineering to settle on a forecast to be entered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree of 2 years’ experience or master’s degree and zero years of experience
  • Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or similar degree
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc)
  • Experience writing SQL a plus
  • Experience navigating large data sets – taking data tables and extracting informatio n
  • Experience with Monte Carlo simulation models is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree or work experience of 0 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years
