Dance Program Director Job at Coppermine Fieldhouse LLC
- Respond to all program-related mail, emails, and phone calls and in person communications with participating and potential students and their families as necessary, creating an open-door policy environment as best as possible.
- Create and maintain schedule of classes and calendars for fall, spring and summer sessions based on Coppermine Fieldhouse Calendar with appropriate staff coverage; including scheduling make up classes due to weather cancellations due to weather cancellations and last-minute staff unavailability.
- Organize and oversee Spring Dance Recital
- Organize program promotion by working with Coppermine marketing team.
- Interview and oversee dance instructors and assistants, including training prior to, and during classes.
- Provide necessary materials to dance instructors and demonstrators for classes, i.e. music, lesson plan ideas, handouts for students, class room management techniques, skill development guidelines for each age group and other support as needed.
- Create and enforce program participation policies, i.e. appropriate classroom behavior, required attire, attendance policy etc.
- Organize and oversee dance program staff meetings.
- Identify purchases needed for the programs, including costumes, classroom props and any additional identified items.
- Work with marketing to create informational documents necessary for program communication to participating families and staff, including handouts (flyers and newsletters) and emails pertaining to important events, dates and policies.
- Identify and coordinate continuing dance education opportunities for staff with management approval.
