Responsibilities:- Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with the technical reference architecture.
- Perform ongoing security testing and code review to improve software security.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise.
- Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to all levels of the architecture and maintain technical documentation.
- Consult team members on secure coding practices.
- Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices.
- Work with software engineers to mitigate system vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years, Master's degree with 3-5 years, Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience.
- Experience performing penetration tests or web security analysis
- Experience reviewing and improving the security posture
- Experience defining and developing security requirements for enhancements to an existing, large-scale software system
- Experience with compliance scanning products (e.g., Nessus)
- Experience with networking security
- Experience with package management for RedHat or Amazon Linux
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, such as Burp, Snyk, or SonarQube
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate can serve as both a cyber software engineer and an AWS administrator.
- Experience with AWS cloud engineer/administrator tasks, such as sizing, optimization, hands-on experience with IAM roles, and Terraform
- AWS Associate level certification or higher
Clearance:
- Must be eligible to hold a Public Trust government security clearance
Location: Remote
Salary Inforamtion:
- The pay for this position ranges from $65,205 to $134,375.
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
