Description


Come be a part of our award-winning, nationally accredited Parks and Recreation team! There are a variety of customer service and front desk opportunities within the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Explore the possibilities below and make your selections within the application.
  • Family Center Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at each of our family centers: Doling, Chesterfield, or Dan Kinney. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for rentals, answering phones, program registration, selling memberships, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Assist with light facility upkeep, as needed.
  • Ice Park Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at the Jordan Valley Ice Park. This will include front desk operation, answering phones, transferring calls, explaining Ice Park programs, selling passes, handling money transactions, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Assist with light upkeep of the facility.
  • Springfield Skate Park Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at the Springfield Skate Park. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for rentals, answering phones, program registration, selling memberships, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Will assist with Pro Shop sales including inventory assistance, merchandising, stocking, and organizing. Assist with light upkeep of the facility, as needed.
  • Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park Gift Shop: Provide excellent customer service at the Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for rentals, answering phones, program registration, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Will assist with gift shop sales including inventory assistance, stocking, and organizing. Assist with light upkeep of the facility, as needed.
  • Cooper Tennis Complex Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at the Cooper Tennis Complex. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for rentals, answering phones, program registration, selling memberships, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Will assist with Pro Shop sales including inventory assistance, stocking, and organizing. Assist with light upkeep of the facility, as needed.
  • Lake Springfield Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at the Springfield Boathouse. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for room rentals and special events, assist with kayaks/canoes/paddleboard rentals, answering phones, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Will assist with gift shop sales including inventory assistance, merchandising, stocking, and organizing. Assist with light upkeep of the facility, as needed.
  • Botanical Center Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at the Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for rentals, answering phones, program registration, selling memberships, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Will assist with gift shop sales including inventory assistance, stocking, and organizing. Assist with light upkeep of the facility, as needed.
  • SPARC Office Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service, complete data entry, answer phones, light office cleaning, file office paperwork, program registration, handle money transactions, inventory office supplies, make copies.
  • Ice Park Pro Shop: Provide excellent customer service at the Jordan Valley Ice Park. This will include answering phones, answering questions on equipment and accessories, fitting skates and equipment, sharpening and repairing skates, handling money transactions, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Assist with light upkeep of the facility.

  • Ice Park Parking Attendant:
    Manage parking and traffic control in assigned areas during events. Evaluate parking to ensure utilization of available parking spaces. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company polices.
  • Northview Center Front Desk: Provide excellent customer service at the Northview Center. This will include front desk operation, answering phones, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Assist with light facility upkeep, as needed.

  • Fieldhouse Front Desk:
    Provide excellent customer service at the Fieldhouse. This will include front desk operation, scheduling and setting up for rentals, answering phones, program registration, selling memberships, and utilizing a point-of-sale system. Assist with light upkeep of the facility.
  • Doling Park History Museum: Assist Museum Curator in setting up displays, logging items, providing museum tours and assisting in operations for special events.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • This is an entry-level position, no experience is required;
PREFERRED
  • Cash-handling experience, food preparation experience, and/or a basic understanding of modern office practices depending on assigned area.
