CUSTODIAN/GROUNDSWORKER I
DEFINITION
Under limited supervision, to perform basic, routine custodial, and grounds maintenance work; to keep assigned areas in clean, safe and orderly condition; and to do related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is an entry-level classification in the areas of custodial, grounds and utility work.
Positions in this class normally follow a routine schedule in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Incumbents will typically perform some duties of both custodial and grounds assignments.
