FIRST CARE CUSTODIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

I. Position Summary: Responsible for general cleaning and set-up of First Care area.

II. Reports To: Custodial Manager

III. Status & Schedule

• Part-time, 20 Hours/week; 52 weeks per year.
• Basic weekly work schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30pm-9:30pm, but is subject to change .
• Schedule may occasionally change in terms of work hours and days worked based on the changing needs of the church and staffing, including weather and other emergencies, and filling-in for custodial PTO. These changes may require extra hours in a given week, most of the time with notice.

IV. Duties: The following duties are representative of the position but are not all-encompassing:

• Perform First Care cleaning duties as assigned on worksheets plus any other requests based on calendar event needs.
• Cleaning First Care area includes lobbies, floors, rugs and mats, corridors, stairways, railings, sills, windows, mirrors and door glass, restrooms and restroom fixtures, walls, seating, furniture, and fixtures.
• Notify Custodial Manager of any items needing attention.
• Set up furniture and equipment required for First Care and Church functions as directed.
• Respond to any emergency or need which may occur including snow removal and salting of sidewalks.
• Perform other related duties as required orrequested by the Custodial Manager, Sr. Pastor, Business Manager or SPRC.

V. Skillset Required:
In addition to the adhering to the ‘General Expectations’ in the Employee Handbook the following skills may be required for this position:

• Physical: Travel freely throughout the church/First Care facilities. Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend over and/or reach overhead, crawl about on hands and knees.

VI. Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• A high school diploma/GED with stable work history.
