JOB SUMMARY:

The Credit Manager is within the Accounts Receivable team, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager. This position will be responsible for analyzing credit and financial reports to determine risk involved in extending credit to current and new accounts. Along with credit determination this position will handle all aspects of third-party Collections as well as execution of Lien Waivers for all customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct semi-annual credit reviews on all current accounts, by accessing credit worthiness on each account
  • Review and determine risk on all new account applications along with assigning credit limits and terms
  • Work closely with Credit Specialist’s to approve shipment of past due customers
  • Submit monthly credit reports to utilized credit bureaus
  • Manage relationship with Credit Bureaus along with renewing annual memberships
  • Manage the Credit Insurance portfolio of accounts
  • Maintain and manage third-party collection portfolio
  • Work with Collection Agency along with third-party Attorneys to ensure all paperwork for judgments/liens are filed properly and timely
  • Manage job sheets provided by the customer on large contract projects
  • Manage all Lien Waiver requests from customers in a timely manner
  • Submit monthly reports to A/R Manager as requested
  • Manage DSO and Bad Debt Write off balances and report to Accounting Manager monthly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years related business to business collections, A/R and reconciliation experience.
  • General Accounting knowledge with advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills with firm logic and reasoning ability, utilizing critical thinking skills.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills with the ability to perform research and analysis with minimum supervision.
  • Must have a high level of confidentiality to maintain sensitive materials in a secure manner.
  • Must be self-motivated
