We are looking for a Creative Assistant who shares our passion for inspiring others to help us work behind-the-scenes to grow our small content creation business in the homemaking niche. Our ideal candidate has an innate sense of creativity and curiosity balanced with strong analytical and self-management skills. Our ideal candidate also has a passion for home decor, high-quality content, user engagement, community development and results-driven strategy.

This team member will help to monitor trends and conceive and execute creative social strategies while measuring their impact and effectiveness. They’ll work directly with Nina to be the person behind the camera (or phone) to help create, edit, and distribute content for TikTok, Instagram (Reels) and YouTube.

This job is approximately 80% remote, with approximately 1 day per week on location working with Nina in her home in Dover, New Hampshire.

On the Social Media front, we need assistance with:

• Content planning sessions 1-2 times per month
• Monitoring Trends on IG & TikTok to bring to content planning sessions
• Monitoring Analytics on IG and TikTok to bring to content planning sessions
• Working ahead to load our social posts into the PLANN app
• Helping to plan and make videos for TikTok & IG Reels
• Hashtag Research
• Copywriting for captions
• Managing our social media calendar and helping us get our content live
• Responding to comments
• Commenting on other similar accounts

On the Videography/Photography front, we need assistance working with the founder to:

• Be the person behind the camera (or phone!) during content creation days (we will provide all equipment)
• Help set up and break down photo shoots

Skills to be a great fit for this role:

• A good understanding of social media (it will really help if you’re already a Reels and TikTok consumer or creator!)
• Time management skills (so that your work from home time is productive)
• Can-do attitude and will leverage resources
• Creativity and adaptability
• Wants to “beat the algorithms” and look for competitive advantages for our socials
• Not afraid to “Manage Up” — need to have a mix of creative and managerial skills to keep us on track
• Reliable

Nice to haves:

• Photo Assistant Experience
• Knowledge of WordPress
• Video editing skills (Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) for putting together TikToks/IG Reels

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position, and hours of work are during standard working hours, ideally within the hours of 8:30-2:30, 2-4 days a week. It will be a mix of work from home or working from Nina’s home. On work at home days the schedule is more flexible as long as the benchmarks are achieved.
