Crane & Rigging Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Crane & Rigging Engineering for various projects supporting the general material handling industry

· Primary responsibility will be the development and review of Lift Plans include the following elements:

§ Selection of cranes and crane chart development

§ Ground Bearing Pressure Calculations

§ Crane Mat Analysis & Sizing

§ Rigging analysis and sizing

§ Analysis of connection points (padeyes, trunnions, lugs, etc.)

§ Design of BTH lifting devices

· Engineer will be expected to travel 30% of the time for site visits to assess job scopes and collect data required for planning as well as witness and survey of lift operations.

· Candidate must be able to communicate with clients and field operations effectively to develop unique solutions that solve the problem at hand

· It is expected that the candidate will be able to develop clear action plans for their projects and communicate updates regularly

· The successful candidate will manage a lift planning project from initiation through engineering, development of the lift plans through the drafting team, quality review process and final submittal to the client.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science in Civil (Structural) or Mechanical Engineering

· Minimum 5+ years experience (Engineering + Field Execution)

· Registered E.I.T. or P.E. or the ability and desire to become registered in this role.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office programs for development of design spreadsheets and presentation of design results in a formal findings report

· Engineering Software Used: Bluebeam Revu, Bentley Ram Elements, Autodesk Inventor, Autocad

· Lidar Scanning Experience is a plus

· Eligible to work in U.S. and available to work standard 8am to 5pm CST work week hours.

Benefits:

· Full-time salary position ranging between ($90,000-120,000) based on experience level
