Job Summary

Ideal Surfaces, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for supervising and being involved with the inspection of slabs, material handling, CNC operations, final inspections, maintenance, ordering shop supplies and general shop duties. We are hiring to groom the candidate, as the person in the current position will be retiring.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria and Ideal Surfaces best practices.
• Oversee inspection of Cambria slabs before being cut.
• Utilize overhead crane to transfer finished pieces to and from workstations
• Learn and oversee CNC operations
• Learn and oversee of backsplash polishing
• Cleaning counters for final inspection of pieces
• Maintenance of machines

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Lead by example with direction
• Quality Control of product through process
• Keeping efficient workflow through the shop
• Communicate with team members of quality awareness
• Work with vendors of ordering supplies
• Great organization skills
• Updating job statuses on the computer

Desired Skills & Experience:

• High School diploma
• Proficiency with basic mathematics
• Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Be able to lift 75 pounds
• Ability in using an overhead crane
• Ability to use a forklift
• Excellent organizational skills
• Have a driver’s license
• Being dependable, being at work on time each day
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and as a team
• Sense of urgency in completing work
