Cost Estimator

KC Jones Plating Company is looking for an entry level cost estimator to assist the business development team with quoting new opportunities, maintaining quote databases, preparing quotes, and communicating with customers. This associate will report to the business development manager and work closely with the broader business development group.

Cost Engineer Key Functions:

· Utilize cost models maintained by engineering team to quote new business for 4 electroplating, surface finishing, brazing, and adhesives application facilities.

· Administrate CRM software platforms and quote databases to track quoting activities.

· Communicate with prospective customers regarding Requests for Quote (RFQ)

· Responsible for planning, administering and completing Cost/Quote tasks in support of new commercial programs/pursuits.

· Communicate with engineering

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree, in Business, Business Administration, Applied Science, Engineering Technology, or Bachelor’s degree.

· Previous estimating experience preferred, but not required.

· Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.

· Prior customer service experience preferred.

· Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

· Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and strong oral/written communication skills.

· Hands-on approach and willingness to take on actions beyond the definition of the role.

· Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

• Associate (Required)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (Required)
• CRM software: 1 year (Required)
• working in an automotive manufacturing environment: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Required)
