The Cost Accountant is responsible for various cost accounting, inventory and margin review processes relating to all North America

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handle manufacturing cost review for all North America businesses
• Set and update standard costs along with daily costing updates as necessary
• Review manufacturing variances, including labor and material, cycle count adjustments, scrap
• Investigate the causes of errors, develop and implement solutions.
• Monitor inventory process flows and controls
• Analyze part margin reporting with review for pricing and costing opportunities
• Provide various reports and analyses as needed
• Assist with other accounting related activities including inventory reconciliations
• Work with operations to help with reporting, review as need be and provide feedback on areas of improvement

Qualifications:

Required:

• 4-year degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience withmanufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be a self-starter and able to deliver results by meeting monthly and yearly closing deadlines.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills. Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills
• Solid computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access.
• Occasional travel may be required

Preferred:

• Experience working withSAP Business One preferred
