We are seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze production activities to ensure costs in the ERP system are accurate and to provide course of action based on results of collected data. They will monitor variances to feed back into cost development. They will review labor costs and compare to labor absorption for opportunities and will communicate these to appropriate supervision and production managers. Responsibilities will also include methods to assist in ensuring accurate inventories by working across all departments.

Position can be based out of any one of our facilities: Petoskey, Michigan, Birmingham, MI, Morristown, Tennessee, Hartford City, Indiana, or McKinney, Texas.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
• 2 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Experience working in ERP systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Detail oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent organization and time management
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical associates

Job location / working conditions / equipment:

• Work is in an office setting with considerable time spent on the manufacturing floor to understand processes
• Occasional travel to other company locations
