Munich Airport US Holding LLC is a 100% subsidiary of Munich Airport International (MAI) which is responsible for managing all business activities in North America as the parent company. Currently, the US Holding manages its own subsidiary: Munich Airport NJ LLC, the new operator of the New Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport. As we continue to grow our team, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated:

Corporate Financial Controller

to join our team as soon as possible and further enhance the financial operations of Munich Airport’s US based subsidiaries, the controller will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of the organizations accounting functions. The successful applicant will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records for our US based entities Munich Airport US Holding and Munich Airport NJ.

Your Future Responsibilities

  • Managing the budget process including the preparation of annual budgets to be approved by the board
  • Preparation of medium- and long-term business plans for the US based entities
  • Preparation of regular forecasts and making projections
  • Support month end closings
  • Regular reporting for the management and shareholders to include any deviations and mitigation measures – set up dashboards for better visualization.
  • Further development and implementation of any associated control instruments for the purpose of planning, management, and control
  • Further development and implementation of financial control measures and prepare regular cash flow / liquidity analyses and forecast cash and balance sheet projections
  • Prepare sensitivity analyses
  • Maintain and keep up to date the Risk Register
  • Responsible for the company general ledger
  • Coordinating of year-end auditing, and coordinate activities of external auditors
  • Support with inputs for executive and board meetings
  • Collaborate with the headquarter team based in Munich, Germany
  • Prepare financial offers for future external projects, taking into account valuation calculations

Your Education & Training

  • University degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or a related field of study, alternatively significant professional experience within the required field of expertise.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of methods and tools of strategic and operational controlling and corporate financial modeling
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles
  • Proficiency in relevant IT systems such as Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and other accounting and reporting systems, SAP Products
  • first-rate analytical, quantitative, and social skills
  • Ability to work in a team, social competence, and reliability
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) towards clients, colleagues, and business partners. Takes a ‘partnership approach’ with stakeholders.
  • Has a positive attitude. Takes responsibility and ownership of the assigned tasks.

  • Integrity, openness, fairness, and transparency
  • Willingness and joy to work in an international and diverse team.
  • Ability to communicate in German would be preferred but not required.
