BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH

FULL TIME - MON-FRI 8AM TO 5PM

FLEXIBLE TO WORK ON WEEKENDS AS NEEDED

WORKING FROM OUR MIAMI LAKES OFFICE.

Summary & Objective

The Staffing Coordinator primary responsibility is the staffing and scheduling of nursing staff and provides clerical support to patient care teams of the facility.

Essential Functions

  • Process requests and schedule clinical staff for patients in Continuous Care program.
  • Ensure effective communication with other Interdisciplinary Teams regarding staffing needs.
  • Provides clinical team with relevant information about patients such as new admissions, discharges, etc.
  • Jointly with other patient care secretaries, order supplies and documentation forms used by the clinical team.
  • Monitors census daily for accuracy.
  • Enters physician itineraries and notes into the Suncoast system weekly.
  • Prepare daily IDT Schedule incorporating revisions or changes as directed by the Manager.
  • Establish and maintain patient records.
  • Provides resources to teams and/or coordinates and schedules pool staff for Patient Care Teams.
  • Provides input and feedback on availability and flexibility of the team staff.
  • Monitors pool staff hours on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinates staffing for continuous care cases with pool staff and/or staff from one of our contracted agencies.
  • Reviews and maintains records of continuous care cases and prepares monthly report of billable continuous care hours.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly On-Call Schedule and distributes to appropriate staff.
  • Communicates with answering service and CHI staff regarding On-Call Schedule changes.
  • Ensures that triage staff has appropriate information (i.e. updated Census).

Other Duties

  • Prints Cell -Trak reports daily to facilitate the Manger’s ability to approve time sheets.
  • Develops and implements various special projects, working in conjunction with the Manager.
  • Evaluate and insure accuracy in the preparation of documentation.
  • Able to maintain files and other information in an organized manner to insure follow-up and timely completion of assignments given by the Manager.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full-Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain your required licenses, certifications and mandatory skill updates.
  • Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Provide other duties of other team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • May serve as an interim department leader depending on need

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.

Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in staffing and in a Hospice facility or other Health Care Facility preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in staffing in a health care setting.
  • Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
