Coordinator of Residence Life Job at Pfeiffer University
The incumbent will facilitate a residential living-learning environment on the Misenheimer campus via 8 residence halls. Manage Residence Hall Directors (RHDs) and Residence Assistants (RAs) to provide a safe, living-learning environment for students. This is an exempt, full-time staff position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a thoughtful leader and trusted advisor on residence life practices and policies on campus.
- Manage all paraprofessionals (RAs and RHDs).
- Responsible for planning and facilitating paraprofessional training and co-curricular residence life programming.
- Manage the selection of RAs and RHDs in the spring of each year.
- Manage room assignments made each year and assist with maintenance communication with facilities services.
- Assist with mediating roommate conflicts, accompany students who are hospitalized or in need of serious attention.
- Assist and help manage summer orientation and summer camps.
- Supervise all paraprofessional staff, RAs and RHDs.
- Maintain interest in students and their development.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Sense of humor, strong work ethic and outstanding communication skills are desired.
- Four-year undergraduate degree is required.
- Undergraduate experience as a RA or RHD.
