Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide secretarial and clerical support for the department and faculty of Media Arts. Serve as primary contact for the department. Greet and assist students and visitors in person and on the telephone; schedule tours and arrange meetings for prospective students; follow through with all processes for visitors and newly admitted students. Receive student forms (including drop/add, independent study, practicum, and internship) to be processed and filed. Supervisor approximately 10 - 15 students. Manage paperwork for approximately 45 student workers and all related process; be available after hours to respond to questions and/or issues via phone; monitor and reconcile budgets for students and tutors. Guide the scholarship processes every spring. Assist with special events and/or arrangements for departmental events; perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Required Education
An Associate's degree or equivalent (two years of college coursework) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Related Experience
One year of progressively responsible secretarial/clerical/office experience required.
Note: A high school diploma and three years related experience may be considered.
Desirable Related Experience
Prefer experience in an academic setting.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
CAP/CPS preferred.
