Cook - Full Time, day shift

The Adrian Dominican Sisters are looking for a Full Time Cook at our Motherhouse Campus in Adrian, MI.

Pay: 16.50/hr.

Hours: 5:30am - 2:00pm OR 10:30am - 7pm. Off work no later than 7pm! Weekend rotations and some holidays off.

What you will be doing: You will work in our clean, professional and food safe kitchens alongside other Cooks and Dining Room Aides who prepare meals for the Sisters. Each day you come in you will cook and serve large batch meals as determined by the chef's menu in a large buffet style dining room. You will take temps of all the freezers and coolers, prep food menu items for home cooked, mostly scratch meals.

Requirements:

Experience: 1-2 years cooking experience required; experience cooking in healthcare environment or commercial kitchen preferred. Cooking in large quantities, catering or commercial cooking is preferred but not necessary.

Physical: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk up to 8-hours per day. Must be able to frequently stoop, bend, reach, and carry approximately 35 pounds. Must be sighted and capable of hearing. Must undergo background check and drug screen. Mandatory yearly (employer paid) flu vaccine and TB test. COVID-19 vaccination required
