Cook/Aide Job at Centro de la Familia
Responsible for overseeing a Head Start Center's Food Services. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Local, State and Federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component. This position is responsible for the ordering, preparing, serving and documenting of meals and snacks. It includes following menus and all phases of kitchen operations including inventory control. The position contributes to the smooth operations and functioning of the kitchen in adherence to health and food safety codes and the strict cleanliness of the kitchen and food service and storage areas. The position may prepare foods for infants and toddlers and/or preschool children following the USDA/CACFP standards. Qualifications: HS/GED. Minimum of 1-year experience in food preparation. Familiarity with USDA/CCFP meal requirements. Experience in preparing diverse appropriate foods. Ability to read and write English. Experience in purchasing, documenting food production, food costs and meal counts. Experience in supervising staff or volunteers desirable. Current and former Early Head Start and Head Start parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Pay: $12.27 - $16.12 per hour
