Nexien is actively looking for an experienced candidate for the following position for our one of the world best clients, Samsung E&C America in Taylor, TX. This is a large-scale manufacturing plant construction project.

Construction Scheduler (Site Engineer for Schedule)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor contractors' activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
• Monitor field variations and review manpower requirements to ensure that current progress schedules are being met
• Follow-up on timely delivery of materials to meet established schedules
• Support the analysis of schedules and identify project schedule variances
• Measure project schedule progress
• Collect and update data for Progress Reports of project Conphases
• Gather and assemble data for schedule updates of the baseline schedule
• Monitor the project schedules for manpower, material, and equipment requirements
• Prepare meeting materials, such as weekly and monthly reports
• Summarize and create minutes of meetings
• Request information about schedule and progress of projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the architectural/construction industry
• Bachelor's degree in architectural or plant-related field
• Bilingual (English + Korean) preferred
• Familiarity with various construction methods and materials
• Knowledge of construction progress on one or more projects
• Proficiency in computer skills and software, such as MS-Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
• Strong English oral and written communication skills
• Experience with MS-Project and Primavera Scheduling software preferred
• Knowledge of applicable project document tracking systems
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
