Community Outreach Specialist Job at Haymarket Center
Haymarket Center is seeking an individual to work with our Health & Wellness team as a Community Outreach Specialist:
This position requires conducting outreach throughout the entire Uptown neighborhood both on foot and a van. Identify target populations for engagement in project services; conduct assessments, create service plans, engage and link clients with appropriate services in hopes of connecting homeless individuals to needed treatment and housing resources. Requirements include:
- Previous experience in working with Substance abuse and/or HIV patients required.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor's in social services or health related field preferred.
- Possess a valid Illinois driver's license and be able to operate a van.
- Must have previous experience in outreach services.
- IAODAPCA certification preferred.
- Must be GAIN certified, or become certified within three months of employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
