OVERVIEW:

Manager designated as Subject Matter Expert in the field of Commissioning & Integration. Supervises and directs work assignments of employees and/or sub partners engaged in the installation, maintenance, integration, commissioning, call testing and repair radio access nodes and/or core network transmission equipment on operational telecommunications networks. Provide technical support to employees and market base sub partners. Provides solutions to a diverse range of complex problems. Responsible for overall program/project deliverables, department structure, scheduling, training and staffing requirements. Manages client’s needs through specific deliverables to ensure client’s needs are being met. Implements quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of services, consistent with established standards and meeting our client’s Service Level Agreements. All of this is accomplished by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain strong Client relations and communication.
  • Utilizes good time management skills.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • May provide suggestions and recommendations for employee advancements, promotions, production, efficiency or other status changes.
  • Works with PM to Schedule employee and/or sub partner work schedule.
  • Handles and/or escalates (as needed) employee and/or sub partner complaints and grievances to the PM according to company policy and lawfully.
  • Handles and/or escalates (as needed) employee and/or sub partner discipline and probation to the PM according to company policy and lawfully.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared prior to delivering to PM and/or client.
  • May be asked to hold regular status meetings with employees and/or sub partners.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Acts as liaison with the clients, when required.
  • Daily, weekly and bi-weekly conference calls with client and/or management team to deliver updates and evaluate performance.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Additionally, this person must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in most aspects of telecommunication installation and construction. They should be highly proficient with the knowledge, skills and ability to train and supervise other employees with the following (but not limited to) areas:
    • Performing Hardware Validation, Commissioning, Integration, Call Testing and Upgrades to BTS equipment (Ericsson, Samsung, Alcatel Lucent and Nokia Equipment).
    • Powering up equipment and testing in a standalone environment including cable connections.
    • Performing of software and the correct configurations are loaded into the equipment.
    • Performing testing and ensuring BTS is connected to the network and integrated to become a functional part of client’s network.
    • Perform Alarm Clearing, Call Testing, Fiber and Sweep testing, as required.
    • May be considered point-of-contact for Integration, Commissioning, and Acceptance issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in managing employees – hiring, terminating, completing performance reviews, allocating work, setting schedules, training, etc.
  • Experience integrating and troubleshoot all components of Wireless and Fixed network.
  • Ability to read construction documents (CD’s) and interpret RF data sheets (CIQ, RFDS, SDCO etc.) into construction related activities.
  • Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, sub partners and regulatory personnel.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-7 years' experience and In-depth knowledge of Cell Site Commissioning and integration.
  • Ericsson C&I Certification
  • Nokia C&I Certification
  • Strong working knowledge of RF wireless technologies and products.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Windows products and databases.
  • Working knowledge of vendor EMS.
  • OSHA 10 certified preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certified preferred
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License (a must) and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to accommodate 50% travel.
  • Must be able to work different shifts (day and/or night shift).
