Job Summary:
The OTR/Truck Tire Service Technician is responsible for mounting, dismounting and balancing heavy service truck tires, along with passenger and light truck tires on emergency road service calls and in shop. Employees in this position will primarily be working outdoors and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions and Tasks:

• Mount and dismount new/used and retreaded tires on heavy service equipment, passenger trucks and light duty trucks, tractor tires.
• Perform tire maintenance on fleet trucks.
• Maintain updated reports as needed on fleet accounts.
• Balance tires utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Communicate safety concerns, company vehicle issues and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediately.
• Mount and dismounting of new/used customer wheels from customer fleets.
• Responsible for various types of tire repairs.
• Understand customer base and profiles.
• Responsible for daily safety pre-trip inspections on service truck.
• Keep service truck and service area clean to maintain a safe work environment.
• Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
• Understand tire design and tread patterns.
• Must be available 24 hours/day during scheduled on-call shift.
• Must become (TIA) Certified.

Required Qualifications:

• Clean driving record

• Valid NC driver’s license

• Depth Perception - judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from you, or to judge the distance between you and an object
• Extent Flexibility - bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
• Manual Dexterity - quickly move your hands to grasp, manipulate, assemble objects, or use a keyboard/keypad
• Oral Expression - communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
• Selective Attention - concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
• Stamina - exert yourself physically over long periods of time without winded
• Trunk Strength - use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without fatiguing
• Static Strength - exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects of approximately 150 pounds
• Control Precision - quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
• Reaction Time - quickly respond to a signal when it appears

Work Environment:

• Work will be performed outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

• commerical tire: 1 year (Preferred)
