SUMMARY:
The Commercial Lender is responsible for calling on prospective new clients for purposes of developing new commercial loan and commercial deposit relationships. Provide financial advice and counsel to clients and prospective clients as required to manage a commercial loan portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet with prospective and existing clients to develop an understanding of their businesses and credit/banking requirements.
• Obtain and review financial data, determine an initial understanding of the credit and fit with bank’s lending policies, work with commercial underwriting department to develop a complete underwritten loan approval. Determine credit structure, approving or declining loans within lending policy guidelines.
• Determine products or services that can be promoted to new or existing customer base.
• Assist in developing strategies to achieve loan and deposit growth.
• Work with Centers of Influence (COI’s) to develop new commercial loan and deposit clients.
• Actively work on referring commercial clients to other areas of the bank to introduce retail, cash management and wealth management services.
• Represent the bank in community associations and civic functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.

• Provide customers with routine platform services, such as arranging for letters of credit, wire transfers, night deposits, approving checks for cashing, or helping with other bank financial/banking problems.
• Handle any collection issues as necessary.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

• This position does not require supervisory responsibility.

• *POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Education – Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years relevant experience.
• Experience – Five to ten (5-10) + years of commercial portfolio management experience; Financial analysis and knowledge of credit principles; General knowledge of banking and the Bank’s various commercial products; Proven track record of sales achievement
