SUMMARY:

A Glazier is an individual who works with all types of glass, installation of aluminum and steel framing, external facades and internal installation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Safely conduct oneself on commercial jobsites

· Understand basic product definitions

· Identify the basic components and functions of storefront, curtain wall, commercial entrances, common doors and configurations.

· Install storefront and curtain wall per manufacturing instructions, plumb, level, and square.

· Properly handle/remove and replace standard set windows, flush-set glass lites and IG’s, and glass in enclosed-frame installation

· Install OHC, surface mounted, cylinders, install door hardware.

· Proper sealant selection, application, tooling, cleanup and testing.

· Read blueprints and comprehend plans / shop drawings

· Understand sound waterproofing concepts for all installation

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to lift 100 pounds

· Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Able to walk, stand, bend, and sit for long periods of time

· Familiar with OSHA construction jobsite requirements

· Know and understand building and construction methods, materials and tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 2 years in commercial glazing preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
