SUMMARY
Operates secondary equipment that machines powder metal parts by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Procedures and Work Instructions relevant to your work area.
Responsible for operating CNC and/or manual equipment in the Secondary area with the ability to adjust machines to ensure part quality.
Has the ability to operate all machines in the Secondary Department safely and effectively. Has the ability to train other employees on these machines as well.
Load and unload lathes and perform the required gauging on the parts in order to meet the required specifications.
Check the coolant level of machines with a refractometer.
Must have the ability to index or change out cutting inserts after training and readjust the machine back to the proper settings so the product is acceptable.
Responsible for completing required documentation and the use of computer aided recording of production quantities such as scanning bar codes.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to sorting of product, deburring of product, assembly of components using various mechanical devices
Inspect and check finished products to make sure that the products are within the required specifications according to a control plan and chart.
Clean up chips that build up in machines and sweep/tidy up the area daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.25 - $19.07 per hour
