CNA - MedSurg (PRN) Job at Guthrie County Hospital
Description:
Guthrie County Hospital has an opening for PRN CNA to fill in on the MedSurg floor. This position picks up shifts as needed on various shifts or days and reports to the Director of Acute & Emergency Services.
The CNA assists patients with basic care needs/ activities of daily living under the direct supervision of a nurse. This position provides effective communication with patients, family members and staff and assists in the coordination of interdepartmental patient care activities. The CNA also maintains GCH standards of practice and policies and procedures.
Requirements:- Current, active certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Iowa and 75 hours of on-the-job training
- Certification must be in good standing with the Direct Care Worker (DCW) Registry of the State of Iowa
- Minimum age of 16 years
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training
- High school diploma or GED, preferred
