Location and Overview:

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking full-time or part-time licensed Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors for a new and exciting Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) which will be operating out of Peekskill, NY, and is a part of the Project Alliance initiative in Westchester County. The MCRT will directly support the work of the newly developed 911 Diversion program operating in Westchester County by providing mobile crisis intervention services in conjunction with the police department and other local referrers.

WJCS, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1943 and has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester county. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout Westchester.

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health, Peekskill and surrounding Police Departments in providing services to individuals who are in crisis, with the goal of intervention, assessment and referral to help clients live safely and prevent future crisis.
• The candidate will work a flexible schedule in order to be part of a cohesive team that provides 24/7/365 mobile crisis intervention.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Full or Part-Time LMSW (can work toward clinical hours) or LMHC required
• NYS Driver’s license required.
• English/Spanish a plus
• Crisis intervention and response skills a plus
• Experience with community-based services
• Work well independently and within a team environment
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with Community Partners
• Strong written skills

Hourly Rate:

• $30.76 – $32.96/hour
