Position: Clinical Therapist | LSW, LPC, LCSW or LCPC | Footprints to Recovery, Elgin IL | Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5pm

The Clinical Therapist provides therapy services including group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention. Completes all documentation accordingly and within mandated timeframes. The Clinical Therapist is team-orientated and willing to work with multiple disciplines to provide the best care to clients.

Job Duties:

• The Clinical Therapist engages clients in individual therapy sessions throughout the course of treatment
• The Clinical Therapist establishes and maintains knowledge regarding documentation with the electronic medical records system: KIPU
• The Clinical Therapist establishes treatment plans and determines the appropriate length of stay based on the clinical needs of the client
• The Clinical Therapist collects and prepares data as requested by the administration
• The Clinical Therapist facilitates group counseling in accordance with the established clinical program
• The Clinical Therapist attends and participates in continuing education opportunities to maintain current knowledge in the industry
  
• The Clinical Therapist collaborates with medical staff and case management staff to provide comprehensive care to clients
• The Clinical Therapist facilitates family programming as required
• The Clinical Therapist understands the interconnectedness of cooccurring disorders and is knowledgeable of various therapeutic interventions to treat these disorders
• The Clinical Therapist is familiar with psychotropic medications and maintains an understanding of the client’s medication regiments
• The Clinical Therapist ensures and abides by all regulatory standards pertaining to federal, state, and local regulations
• The Clinical Therapist Engages and participates in weekly and group supervision

Qualifications:

• LPC, LSW, or LCPC or LCSW
• CADC preferred. Experience with Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Counseling
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Healthcare related major
• Valid IL driver’s license and auto insurance
  
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Able to work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
  
• Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other personnel
• Clinical knowledge pertaining to substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, as well as trauma-specific populations
