Position Overview:

The primary function of the Clinical Team Lead is to perform the duties of a Staff Therapist. Perform and analyze tests and measurements of disabilities resulting from disease, injury; to plan, implement and modify treatment programs; to direct and supervise therapy services; to participate in discharge planning; to pursue professional growth; assist with educational duties and perform administrative and other duties as required. In addition to serving as a communication link between the assigned team(s)/program(s) and the Clinical Supervisor and/or Director.



Essential Functions:


Promotes the philosophy and mission of Montrose Regional Health.


Responsible for matters relating to clinical treatment, planning, protocols, issues and situations for the team(s) assigned.


Performs the responsibilities of a lead including but not limited to; Participates in the daily flow/operations and coverage for the team(s) assigned. Participate in interviewing and the orienting/training of new staff. Provides input for performance appraisals. Assists with policy and procedures and process improvements. Works with team to increase productivity while decreasing financial loss and risk.


Ensuring clinical staff understand and meet all compliance requirements, policy and procedures, and hospital/department standards and expectations.


Stays current of guidelines and standards of professional organization as appropriate per licenses. Obtain recommendation and updates to improve programs and stay compliant.


Actively work with other leaders in the organization to improve knowledge, education, processes, and relationships with other caregivers, providers, and co-workers, to ensure great outcomes for the team and organization.


Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.


Education and Work Experience


Educations: Musts be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology Program. Must hold a current Colorado license in their field. BLS Certification required.


Training and Experience: Prior leadership and/or management experience preferred


Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner.


Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health.


Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.


The ability to make appropriate decisions based on fact and knowledge is required. The ability to perform detailed work required. The ability to work harmoniously with employees required. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and show good judgment. The ability to make decisions under pressure and deadlines required.


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
