Job Summary
Drexel University’s renowned Psychological Services Training Center, a nationally recognized award-winning training clinic that is part of our Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology has openings for two specialty area supervisors in the areas of Adult Therapy and/or Adult and Child and Adolescent Therapy. The Supervisor(s) will be the leaders of the specialty area tracks within our larger clinic and will hold adjunct appointments within the Department of Psychology. They will each oversee a team of doctoral level trainees and will interface with the trainees, center staff and management personnel, and clients.
Essential Functions
- The supervision of 3-5 Doctoral level trainees and all the administrative and patient care tasks associated with such supervision.
- Weekly supervision of students including individual and group supervision meetings is expected and remote access to recordings and records for review purpose would be provided.
- The supervisor will attend staff meetings and may be asked to help trainees prepare and execute a presentation of the team’s work at the end of Spring term.
- The supervisor would also be available to students by phone and would provide guidance as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA (American Psychological Association) accredited college or university, completion of an APA-accredited internship.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- The supervisor(s) must be licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania and have or be able to get all required PAEBC clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- The supervisor must be skilled in assessment of psychopathology, case conceptualization, evidence-based treatment selection, routine outcome monitoring, and the delivery, implementation, and measurement of change for a multitude of interventions.
