The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.

Position Summary:

As a key member of the Clinical Informatics team this role is responsible for operationalizing, coordinating, and driving the requisite activities to achieve the Clinical Informatics goals and objectives to accelerate clinical transformation at HHC.

The Clinical Informatics team partners with all our Clinical Institutes, Councils and Regions to identify and prioritize the problems which matter most to solve. The incumbent of this position ensures the achievement of the organization's core strategies and operating results by providing leadership and guidance to clinical departments, disciplines, services or programs. The incumbent advises, support, assists, coordinates, collaborates and monitors strategic initiates which cross multifaceted teams. This role facilitates the use of data, information and knowledge to improve human health and the delivery of health care services with the support of technology.

Position Responsibilities:

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Contributes to the operational strategy, structures and processes of Clinical Informatics/innovation
  • Knowledge of the intersections between clinical disciplines and technologies to support progressive outcomes for the daily operations of the health care system
  • Supports, monitors, and contributes to the System priorities that are strategic in nature, highly complex, and necessitate informatics and ITS resources.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers and colleagues by defining functional standards translate into usable applications and/or care patterns, and by negotiating with peers and colleagues to develop mutually workable solutions in order to ensure consistency and continuity of functional application across the organization
  • Knowledge of the intersections between clinical disciplines and technologies to support progressive outcomes for the daily operations of the health care system
  • Organizes, problem solves, raises issues, and integrates initiatives, solutions and actions for the Clinical Leadership. Functions as a liaison to resolve problems and ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Provides management and analysis of business data for use in decision making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Provide sponsorship to function by identifying the resources required to achieve operating results and advocating for them during resource allocation
  • Provides oversight and technical input regarding reporting methodology and tools to team management.
  • Assists in budgetary responsibilities for the Informatics/Innovation Department.
  • Provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate groups as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements and Specifications:

Education

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in health care or science discipline

Preferred:

  • Master's preferred

Experience

  • Two (2) years project experience in an integrated healthcare setting with demonstrated experience working with multiple functional teams.

Language Skills

  • English
