The Clinical Director oversees clinical programming to ensure that patients and family members receive quality care.

Education, experience, skills and abilities:

  • Master's degree.
  • Current, unrestricted license as an LPC, LAC or LCSW.
  • Three or more years of experience in addiction treatment or dual diagnosis.
  • A minimum of one year of management experience directly supervising staff.
  • Possess an understanding of the role of 12-step principles in sobriety.
  • Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with patients and their families, professional support staff, team members and various individuals from community agencies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel and Outlook.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality and continuity of addiction treatment including co-occurring disorder treatment.
  • Oversee all clinicians in their timely, appropriate completeness of job duties.
  • Recruit, hire and train staff.
  • Provide clinical services via individual, group and family therapy.
  • Write and submit clinical master admission, discharge and updated treatment plans, and clinical updates for utilization review.
  • Provide crisis intervention and referrals for patients.
  • Engage patients after admission and through their treatment episode to ensure delivery of the best patient care with unconditional positive regard.
  • Document patient notes, interventions, phone calls and overall patient data.
  • Document weekly progress notes.
  • Keep all patient charts up to date.
  • Work collaboratively with the medical and clinical team and provide immediate notification of unusual or potentially high-risk findings.
  • Actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Provide support for clinical services to other team members when needed.
  • Ensure program meets all requirements for the Louisiana Department of Health and the Joint Commission standards.
  • Manage clinical program development.
  • Participate in agency meetings as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
