The Clinical Dietitian practices as an expert in the application of the nutrition process and theory within a specialty area. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Dietitian is to advance patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, and researcher.

Day Shift - 7am - 4:30 pm (flexible), Must be able to work 1 weekend per month

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Must obtain licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist in the District of Columbia.
• Work requires knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science and social science as applied to human nutrition, and basic knowledge of clinical research tools.
• Will Consider multiple level of Experience.
• Clinical Dietitian Specialist I - Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in specialty area.
• Clinical Dietitian Specialist II - Active specialty certification or Master's Degree in a related field, 4 years of experience as Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in specialty area.
