Job Description

Allied Universal Event Services is looking to hire a Client Event Risk Manager based in Redmond WA. This position travels internationally 30% or more of time. The salary range is 90k-105k.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Manage end-to-end event security for events globally.
  • Review contracts, manage budgets, draft RFPs.
  • Draft risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with global security teams: intelligence, executive protection, regional security operations.
  • Work closely with event planning teams: executive procedures, logistics, IT, production, food and beverage.
  • Apply cultural and emotional intelligence.
  • Display business acumen of client products and services.
  • Develop, implement, and revise the team's standard operating procedures.
  • Provide communications regarding high risk/high visibility events.
  • Development and implement long-term security strategies.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with policy, procedures, or standards of operation.
  • Maintain situational awareness of global incidents that may affect the client.
  • Coordinate and manage security efforts with private security agencies and venues, as well as local, provincial, regional, and national law enforcement agencies.
  • Assist with business continuity and emergency management related to events in the region.

  • Must meet all minimal hiring standards for Allied Universal Event Security.

  • Project Management experience preferred.

  • Able to travel 30%, sometimes with very little notice.
  • Maintain a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally.
  • Five years or more of global security experience highly desirable.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to seamlessly adapt to stressful and unexpected situations.
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships
  • Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes.
  • Willingness to work events in the evenings, holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment while focused on results.
  • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to climb stairs on an intermittent basis at client sites.
  • The employee may be subject to adverse conditions such as rain, cold or heat for prolonged periods of time.
  • The employee may be subject to work in a noisy environment that could exceed normal noise levels.
  • The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple employees with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels.
  • Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.
