Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a Practice Manager for our Family Practice in Claysburg, PA. This position's primary responsibilities are to continuously maintain office efficiency, providing clinical and operational guidance.

Essential Functions:

Works with Market Manager to develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Reports any concerns regarding staff relations including, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling and assists with payroll as needed.

Works with Market Manager to determine and justify needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.

Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care and patient satisfaction.

Oversees any medical/administrative problems and reports concerns to applicable parties.

Interacts with physicians in order to assess any potential needs that may need addressed.

Promote the mission, vision and values of the organization.

Presents a professional image by appearance, articulation, and behavior; adheres to hospital and departmental dress codes, including wearing the Nason ID badge, with no pattern of deviation.

Gives evidence of dependability by: Infrequent and appropriate use of sick time (4 or more non FMLA instances will constitute a “not met” and require a verbal warning).

Gives evidence of dependability by: Completed all assignments in a reasonable time frame per established policies.

Maintains punctuality and gives one hour notice for unscheduled absences.

Promotes appropriate customer service skills by being helpful, courteous, considerate, sensitive, and compassionate to the needs of staff, patients, physicians, and visitors with whom we come in contact with during the work day.

Observe the policies of the hospital by maintaining a clean and safe work environment and performing work safely at all times with no deviation

Adhere to Corporate Compliance Guidelines and requirements of Federal, State, and local regulatory and accrediting agencies with no deviations from standards.

Works as a team player, recognizing organization-wide needs over individual functions.

Maintains confidentiality of data.

Performs duties in a self-directed and cooperative manner, and uses time constructively and productively.

Completes in-service and educational requirements/assignments in a timely manner (i.e. Life Talent).


Job Requirements:

Education:

Associate’s degree required with focus on healthcare/clinical field.


Work Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably office setting.


Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving techniques in decision-making process.

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationship with medical and administrative staff, patients, and community.

Ability to provide guidance and leadership to office staff.
