We are currently accepting applications for qualified Assistant Teachers and Floater/Support Staff Teachers to add to our growing team at a quality 5 Star SUTQ rated childcare and preschool center in Parkman, Ohio.

All Around Children is conveniently located right off of Route 422 and Route 528, with easy access from Cleveland and Warren.

Potential Candidates should have previous childcare and teaching experience. You should display a friendly, positive attitude, be comfortable working with groups of children ranging from (6 weeks - 12 years of age).

The Assistant/Floater Support Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher in conducting daily duties such as preparing and serving meals, changing diapers, pull-ups, toileting, recording daily reports/attendance, engaging in play and other daily activities.

Assistant Teacher:

  • Providing support for the Lead Teacher with any responsibilities and duties
  • Provide basic care and grooming, changing diapers, pull-ups/toileting and recording daily schedule for each individual child
  • Monitoring and supervising the children constantly
  • Interacting with the children to gauge their abilities and personalities
  • Supervise children in the learning centers as they play with age appropriate toys
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interest and learning styles of children such as stories, music, singing and play time to intellectually stimulate children
  • Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are sanitized and kept clean
  • Assist with maintaining all SUTQ related documentation and paperwork
  • Ability to interact with children, patience, interacting capabilities, attention to details and organizing group activities
  • Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
  • Communicate with parents on children's' growth and progress
  • Maintaining a safe and positive environment
  • Monitoring and supervising the children constantly
  • Cultivating relationships with children, parents and guardians
  • Serving meals and snacks
  • Greeting parents and addressing children by their name
  • Communicate with parents daily and maintain positive relationships with family to ensure that their child needs are met

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of child care experience working in a licensed ODJFS child care program
  • Current physical, and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse/Neglect are preferred
  • Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
  • Reliable transportation to the Child Care center
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse/Neglect are preferred
  • Job requirements include a high school diploma
  • No college degree required
  • Current physical, and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check
  • Clean driving record

Floater Support Staff

In this position no college degree. You required you must be reliable, dependable, have good work habits, be in place and ready to work at scheduled time, and show no undue tardiness or absenteeism. Follows daily operations as dictated by work schedule. Dress code both in a professional manner as well as one that allows active participation with children. Personal appearance is neat and clean. You will be required to act as a positive representative of All Around Children as a professional role model.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will require working in each classroom to check for restock items, working closely with the lead and assistant teachers in conducting daily duties such as preparing and serving meals, toileting/changing pull ups, recording daily reports/attendance, covers breaks, fill in during staff absence and engage in play and other daily activities.

  • No college degree required
