Pay Range & Benefits:

Salary: $25.00/hr

POSITION SUMMARY: The Child and Family Child Watch Attendant supervises children at the Dahlia Campus and our North Federal location. This position is responsible for watching children in a safe and enjoyable setting for the families of those we serve in accordance with WellPower's mission and policies for children 6 months to 12 years of age. The Child and Family Child Watch Attendant shall maintain visual and auditory supervision during all activities. Attendant is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of each child under their supervision and maintains a creative and playful atmosphere for all participants. Attendant should maintain the schedule, plan, and supervise the activities of children and perform general housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean and safe area. The Child and Family Child Watch Attendant is friendly, professional, organized, and able to engage with the families we serve.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Build and maintain positive relationships with the families of those we serve utilizing the child watch services.

2. Establish regular planning of activities

3. Facilitate communication and understanding of site programs, services, goals, and values.

4. Maintain Child and Family internal child watch calendar and communicate effectively with clinicians and families reserving child watch needs.

5. Collaborate with Administrative Assistants daily around child watch schedule

6. Maintain a safe, engaging, and clean atmosphere for the children and their families

7. Participate in meetings and/or trainings as requested.

8. Other administrative duties, as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to provide services at the Dahlia Campus (3401 Eudora St, Denver, CO 80207) and North Federal (1405 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80204).

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in a role with childcare.

Skills: Spanish bilingual preferred, highly organized, able to clearly communicate, able to successfully work with a wide variety of people, ability to engage children of all ages, customer service orientation, conflict resolution, proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office.

Machines and Equipment to be used: Computers, calculators, fax machines, telephone, and a variety of other office equipment.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching, ability to use office equipment.

Typical Mental Demands: Ability to communicate with children and their caregivers. Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.

RESUMEN DEL PUESTO: El encargado de la vigilancia de los niños(as) y las familias supervisa a los niños(as) en el campus de Dahlia y en nuestro centro ubicado en la zona norte de la calle Federal. La persona con este puesto es responsable de vigilar a los niños(as) de las familias de las personas a las que servimos en un entorno seguro y agradable de acuerdo con la misión y las políticas de WellPower de niños(as) de 6 meses a 12 años. El encargado del cuidado de los niños(as) del departamento de los niños y de las familias deberá supervisar de forma visual y auditiva durante todas las actividades. El encargado es responsable de la seguridad y el bienestar de cada niño(a) bajo su supervisión y de mantener una atmósfera creativa y de juego para todos los participantes. El asistente debe coordinar el horario, planificar y supervisar las actividades de los niños y realizar tareas generales de limpieza y mantener un espacio limpio y seguro. El encargado del cuidado de los niños(as) del departamento de los niños y de las familias es un persona amable, profesional, organizada y capaz de relacionarse con las familias a las que servimos.

FUNCIONES PRINCIPALES DEL PUESTO DE TRABAJO:

1. Construir y mantener relaciones positivas con las familias/personas a las que servimos que utilizan los servicios del cuidado de niños(as).

2. Realizar una planificación habitual de las actividades

3. Facilitar la comunicación y la comprensión de los programas, servicios, metas y valores del sitio.

4. Mantener un calendario interno para el cuidado de niños(as), y comunicarse efectivamente con los proveedores y las familias que necesiten el cuidado de los niños.

5. Colaborar con los asistentes administrativos diariamente en relación con el calendario del cuidado de niños(as).

6. Mantener un ambiente seguro, atractivo y limpio para los niños y sus familias

7. Participar en las reuniones y/o capacitaciones según se soliciten.

8. Otras tareas administrativas, según se asignen.

REQUISITOS DEL PUESTO LABORAL

Educación: Se requiere un diploma de escuela superior o GED.

Transporte: Debe de contar con transporte confiable para prestar servicios en el Campus Dahlia (3401 Eudora St, Denver, CO 80207) y en la zona norte de la calle Federal (1405 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80204).

Experiencia: Un mínimo de tres (3) años de experiencia en un rol del cuidado de niños(as).

Habilidades: Preferiblemente bilingüe en español, altamente organizado, capaz de comunicarse con claridad, capaz de trabajar exitosamente con una extensa variedad de personas, habilidad para interactuar con niños de todas las edades, con orientación hacia el servicio al cliente, resolución de conflictos, dominio de Outlook y Microsoft Office.

Máquinas y equipos por utilizar: Computadoras, calculadoras, máquinas de fax, teléfono y una variedad de otro equipo de oficina.
