Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Subsidy Case Manager provides information to families regarding quality child care options and assists parents with available financial resources to meet their child care needs. Reviews eligibility documents and calculates household income to determine initial and continuing eligibility for subsidized child care services in accordance with program regulations.

Tasks include:

· Communicating with families from diverse backgrounds in person, by phone and through written correspondence to obtain required information,process applications and verify information.

· Counseling participants regarding program eligibility requirements and their responsibilities as subsidy recipients.

  • Explaining program requirements and procedures to child care providers.
  • Participating in staff meetings and training workshops as assigned.
  • Entering data with high standard of accuracy into State and internal databases
  • Provide representation at local community outreach events and activities, including resource fairs, and all agency-sponsored conferences
  • Other duties as assigned to assist with meeting the needs of the organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with diverse populations effectively
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform intermediate level math
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Sociology/Psychology (preferred)
  • Experience in Human Services or Child Development industry (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $40,000.00 per year
