Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties is one of the largest providers of Chemical Dependency Services! Members of our Executive Team support all three counties. We are currently hiring for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who assist the Chief Executive Officer in overseeing and administering the diverse array of programs in the various divisions of CCOSU.

THIS IS A HYBRID REMOTE POSITION (will have the ability to work 3 days in office and 2 days remote).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Oversee and manage the planning of program expansion, staffing, quality assurance, and budgeting, under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer.

2. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, develop and monitor an administrative system that ensures proper corporate compliance, managerial accountability, and functional integration.

3. Monitor, with the senior staff, data relating to effort and outcome measures for all programs within each division. Ensure a continuous improvement in the quality of the services offered and liaise with the various program divisions to ensure consistency and quality of services throughout Orange, Sullivan & Ulster counties.

4. Directly, and with senior staff, fosters outreach efforts to generate resources, public and private, necessary to support the work of Catholic Charities.

5. In conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, represent CCOSU and its programs to various outside government, public and private organizations to enhance awareness, support, and expansion opportunities (e.g., Ulster County).

6. Work cooperatively with administrative departments of Catholic Charities and Catholic Charites Community Services (Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, Institutional Advancement, and Legal Affairs) as well as with Parishes and Deaneries, to ensure compliance and consistency with Catholic Charities policies and procedures.

7. Serve as part of the senior management team of CCOSU and provides day-to-day supervision for all senior staff members.

8. Maintains authority for all programmatic and contractual aspects of the work of CCOSU, including developing collaborative relationships with local stakeholders and evaluating and responding to trends in service delivery within the different programs and divisions.

9. Provide regular reports to the Chief Executive Officer for presentation to the Board of CCOSU and other purposes.
