Clifford Beers Community Health Partners (CBCHP) was established to create and support an integrated network of affiliated nonprofits that work together to deliver “wrap around” mental health and social services to Connecticut children and families. At CBCHP we rely entirely on our network of nonprofit partners to deliver services to the communities we serve. To support the back office needs of our innovative network partners, our Managed Services Program offers a full suite of support services including human resources management, accounting, billing, technology support, legal, marketing, communications, compliance, and facilities management services. By utilizing these efficient, high-quality, back-office services our partners are better able to focus on what is most important – delivering critical services to individuals and families in need. Today, we are helping more children and families than ever before and look forward to expanding our reach and impact.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the organization. S/he will establish and implement the infrastructure and processes needed to drive the business growth of Clifford Beers Community Health Partners by identifying and seizing near-and long-term opportunities for stewardship, expanding revenue, and organizational visibility, ultimately creating a foundation for long-term financial sustainability. The CDO will create, drive, and own the success of revenue strategy and goals, including KPI setting for all team members. The CDO will also develop and oversee all marketing and communication efforts including brand development, advertising, public relations, and digital communications for Clifford Beers Community Health Partners and its network of nonprofit partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively work with the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and senior staff to set and achieve short- and long-term goals to drive the business growth of Clifford Beers Community Health Partners.
  • Develop and implement business development and fundraising strategies for Clifford Beers Community Health Partners.
  • Build and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective donors, board members, and other business and project partners.
  • Identify and develop potential strategic partners, alliances, and relationships to expand Clifford Beers Community Health Partners and affiliate partner programs and services.
  • Build and maintain an organization-wide, up-to-date donor database to support donor administration and effective CBCHP and affiliate partners-to-donor communications.
  • In partnership with Clifford Beers Community Health Partners Chief Operating Officer design, market, and coordinate access and utilization of Managed Service Program.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to grow Clifford Beers Community Health Partners and its affiliate partners.
  • Develop and oversee marketing and PR programs, promote and expand community awareness of Clifford Beers Community Health Partners and its nonprofit partners.
  • Lead all outreach efforts utilizing various marketing channels.
  • Responsible for all content marketing.
  • Develop and manage CBCHP’s and nonprofit partners external communications processes to ensure consistency of message, to promote community impact, and to quickly respond to PR opportunities and risks.
  • Train, develop, lead, and mentor business development team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate degree in a related field and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience
