JOB SUMMARY

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for serving meals and beverages to patrons in the dining establishment as well as maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for the guests. The position also delivers Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for this position include the following; While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, Management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different functions to be performed when circumstances change or exigencies require (this includes but is not limited to emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments)

· Execute timely and courteous service to guests in his/her own station, as well as other tables in the restaurant, following strict adherence to the hotel F&B policies and procedures.

· Follow the exact Sequence of Service procedures as outlined by the Chef Studio policy.

· Assure and maintain highest standard of service, sanitation, and hospitality.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu and buffet items as well as buffet set-up.

· Maintain thorough knowledge of POS system in use.

· Uphold strict cash handling procedures and be held accountable for all transactions.

· Work closely with management and other employees to create a Team Concept.

· Dress in uniform and maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout shift.

· Assist with the training of new employees and use up-to-date policies, procedures, and techniques.

· Attend all meetings and seminars as directed by the Manager.

· Attend pre-shift meetings.

· Greet customers immediately with proper greeting.

· Follow all sequence of service steps with each table.

· Handle POS system quickly and efficiently and be prepared to place order before going to the terminal.

· Maintain table cleanliness throughout meal.

· Assist other employees in their tasks.

· Perform station opening/closing and side-work duties each shift and check out with the Manager.

· Assist Culinary Department and buffet maintenance as needed.

Educational/Experience Requirements

· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

· Minimum one (1) to three (3) months related experience.

· Must be 18 years of age.

· Must obtain Food Handler’s Certification.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to groups of customers or employees of the organization. English is required for oral and written communications (bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk up to eight (8) hours per day.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position requires prolonged hand and wrist movement/usage. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet floors and extreme temperature extremes. Also exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration due to kitchen equipment. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
