JOB SUMMARY: To prepare and deliver quality products based on Golden Krust
Recipe and provide effective and efficient management of the kitchen. International and Caribbean cuisine experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of all items in the Golden Krust kitchen to ensure correct GK recipe is being used and quality products are available and being served in a timely manner.
  • Must be available to work early mornings and able to work standing for extended hours.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are carried out.
  • Manage supplies, inventory and stock levels to ensure the necessary arrangements to have them available.
  • Complete the daily and weekly stock ( inventory) forms and assist with ordering of stock.
  • Supervise Asst. Chef and kitchen Assistants in relation to daily activities.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment and ensure that all the local Health

Department policies and procedures are being met.

  • Ensure daily operations are conducted in accordance with established restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Training of New kitchen employees and current Kitchen staff.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace, move about in close quarters and handle heat.
  • Assist with reduction of product waste.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate in Food and Nutrition or equivalent training in Culinary Arts is desirable. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • A minimum of one (1) years’ experience as a Head Chef (Supervisor) in a high- volume operation would be highly desirable and/or Catering Service experience.
  • Current Food Handler’s Permit/Safe, mandatory
  • Ability to plan menus.
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team.

  • Hair must always be covered.
  • Ensure that nails are kept short and clean, no nail polish.
  • Good hygiene must always be practiced and exhibited.
  • Proper uniform is to be worn.
  • Full shoes are to be worn – No slippers.
